The R+J Eatery Journey
The Romeo and Juliet Eatery is a restaurant that was birthed in the valleys of Montepulciano, a town nestled in beautiful Tuscany. My husband and I created the concept of our dream eatery as newleyweds, with the plan of moving to England to share our family traditions of fresh pasta and heapings of truffle oil. Much like Romeo and Juliet, our families were rivals in business and were very much against our matrimony, which gave us the name of our beloved restaurant.
Today, we have built a reputation for putting high quality pasta on plates and smiles on faces. All of our dishes are made in house and from scratch, with some of our vital ingredients imported from Italy, like our famous truffle oil. We also make our desserts fresh everyday to ensure our standard of quality never drops. As we are a family run business, we welcome people from all backgrounds and run discount nights regularly, so that everyone has the chance to experience our Italian cuisine. We have disability access at the front of the restaurant and dogs are welcome during our daytime service.
During the day, our eatery can be a place to catch up with old friends or take a moment for yourself on the tranquility of our terrace. Hot beverages are on sale as well as freshly baked loaves and pastries. Come the evening, the eatery turns into a vibrant establishment, perfect for family celebrations or dates with that special someone, after all, this Romeo and Juliet got their happy ending, so why can't you? We have live bands every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, dedicated cocktail nights on the first Friday of every month and a roaring pizza oven in the middle of the restaurant, so all guests can bear witness to our authentic cooking.

Locate Us
The Romeo and Juliet Eatery is located in the heart of the quaint town of Guisborough, North Yorkshire. While we do not have parking on-site, the highstreet allows visitor parking for up to three hours, free of charge. There are also two large car parks located near by: Grosvenor car park and Charles Street car park.
